“헬로우! 명지” is a newsletter with a new concept, organized by recruiting foreign student reporters under the supervision of the International affairs, where foreign students share their experiences in the life of Myongji University. "헬로우! 명지" is based on Korean and English, and supports articles in Chinese(‘Nihao! Myongji’) and Vietnamese(‘Xin zhao! Myongji’).
On November 10, the first meeting of foreign student reporters was held at the office of the International affairs Support Team at Myongji University's Social Science Campus Administration-dong, and there was time to discuss the prospects and future steps of the "헬로우! 명지" newsletter with Joo Seong-il, dean of the International affairs. Dr. Zhu said, "Through this activity, I hope foreign student reporters will feel proud and proud of being a member of Myeongji University. I hope they will express their opinions from the perspective of foreign students on various programs that will be implemented at the Office of International affairs.“ He also said, "I hope to be able to communicate with various professors in the department through newsletter articles," and sent a message of encouragement to make "헬로우! 명지" a newsletter that represents foreign students at Myongji University. In response to this, a foreign student reporter expressed his ambition in the future by saying, "We are weak now, but we want to develop newsletters to serve as a bridge between foreign students and schools." On this day, foreign student reporters freely expressed their opinions and looked for ways in which "헬로우! 명지" could become a channel for foreign students, Korean students, and professors to communicate with each other beyond mere cultural exchange. Starting with the Nov. 1, 2020, "헬로우! 명지" will be published every two months except during vacation. Any foreign students who are not reporters can submit and tip-off. We are planning to select new reporters each season, so you can join later if you are interested.
